F-5 Iranian Air Force /IRIAF/ Camouflage Paint Masks 1/32
Suggested scale: 1/32
Suggested use: F-5 in 32nd scale
Re-usable die-cut camo mask set
The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-5 Freedom Fighter
is a light supersonic jet designed in the late 1950s in the United States. It serves with various Air Forces around the World. Iran is among the countries that continue to operate it. More than 180 aircraft in different variants have been delivered, and the jet has remained in service since the early 1970s. Iran has applied local modifications, including domestically produced versions renamed for propaganda as fully indigenous designs. These include the Saeqeh, Kowsar, and Azarakhsh. Some feature significant changes, such as altered vertical fin configurations. However, the majority of the fleet consists of standard F-5s, with only a handful of local variants.
F-5 IRIAF
Iranian F-5 variants sport desert camouflage in a fairly standard pattern. This scheme fits both single- and dual-seat F-5 models. The aircraft visually resembles closely those from other nations, such as Morocco’s Air Force F-5s. Over time, Iran’s tough climate prompted repaints, leading to varied camouflage looks. Differences range from slight tweaks—tied mostly to individual airframes—to more noticeable shifts. The jet’s distinct nose demands extra masking. In theory, this mask set works for local Iranian types too, but Saeqeh’s twin vertical tails require separate masks for that area. Those aren’t part of this set and additional masking might be needed too.
