The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-35C
Lightning II is the 5th Generation Fighter Jet made by Lockheed Martin Corporation, designed to replace F/A-18 Super Hornet in the US NAVY and US MARINES inventory. It will be the backbone of the US carrier fleet for the next 4 to 5 decades, with a planned service life extending till late 2060s, even 70s. Compared to the F-35A and F-35B, the carrier based stealth fighter features larger and foldable wings and upgraded, stronger undercarriage. A tail hook is embedded in the rear end of the fuselage beneath the engine. It is the first low-observable fighter jet to enter carrier based US forces. The only user of the F-35C Lightning II is planned to be United States.
DN Models’ set
is designed for Trumpeter’s 32nd scale release /#03230/ and any eventual derivatives. The mask set features masks for the canopy, masks for the EOTS /Electronic Optical Targeting System/ and masks for the wheels. Using this set with any other tooling of this plane is not recommended. Masks are tailored specifically for Trumpeter’s release, which at the time of the release of this set is the only 32nd scale F-35C Lightning II in serial production. The mask set will serve to compliment RAM Panels DN Models’ set designed for the same F-35C kit. As with the Canopy & EOTS, the RAM Panels masks set will be designed only for the Trumpeter’s release.
