F-16I Sufa / F-16D Barkeet Camo Paint Masks (+ Israeli Stars Stencils) 1/32
Suggested scale: 1/32
Suggested kit: Academy F-16I Sufa
Re-usable die-cut mask set
Israeli Stars are included
The set includes three sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-16I Sufa
features one of the most attractive Fighting Falcon/Viper camouflages ever applied. Designed specifically for the Israeli Air Force, F-16I Sufa /Storm/ was planned to fill the gap in between F-16C Barak and F-15I Ra’am. Due to the high price of the Strike Eagle, IAF developed F-16I with some Israeli electronics embedded, with conformal tanks and several features that fit Israel’s specific needs. Even though significantly smaller than F-15E, F-16I was chosen based on the experience and its cost effectiveness. Operation Opera proved the capabilities the basic platform possesses, so IAF decided to be pragmatic and innovative at the same time. Sufa is of course far more capable than the F-16 Netz used in “Opera”, being significantly upgraded and with an additional crew member too.
F-16I Sufa
is available as a 32nd scale kit from Academy. The kit is not new, however features very modern tooling, which can be further improved with some aftermarket add-ons available on the market. F-16D Barkeet – that features similar camouflage as the Sufa – can be made from other kits, as well from Academy’s Sufa, again with the help of some aftermarket. The camouflage pattern beneath and above the conformal tanks is similar, but not equal. This mask set can be used for both F-16D Barkeet and F-16I Sufa in 32nd scale.
