The set includes two sheets of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
CH-54
Tarhe is an American twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter, made by Sikorsky Aircraft company. It was designed to serve with the US Army and only 105 have been made. It is known as a “Flying Crane”. The name comes from an Indian tribe chief nicknamed Tarhe, which translates to “The Crane”. CH-54 gained its fame during Vietnam War, where it served brilliantly as a recovery aircraft. Even though nowadays retired /70s in US Army, 90s National Guard/, its civilian version still flies to this day. It is used as a sky-crane, firefighting and emergency response platform. Its name is S-64 and is currently made by Erickson Inc. South Korea, Italy, USA are its present users. The CH-54 platform hold numerous /helicopter/ records, as highest altitude in level flight /11 000m/, fastest climb to 10-, 20- and 30 000 feet and most people lifted by a helicopter at a single time – 90 in total.
The Mask set
from DN Models is designed for ICM CH-54A Tarhe kit /#53054, #53055/ in 35th scale. It covers the wheels, canopy and windows of the CH-54 Tarhe helicopter. The set is made specifically for the military version in the abovementioned kits and any fit with potential civilian variants released later on from ICM cannot be guaranteed. The ICM packings cover -54A variant with the difference, that one of them features additional BLU-82/B “Daisy Cutter” bomb. DN Models’ set features exterior and interior masks for all the clear parts and masks for the wheels.
